OVERVIEW

MoTeC engine management, data acquisition, and power management systems have become a household name in the motorsport world over the past 35+ years. With over 160 dealers in North America, we are looking to expand our Mooresville, NC location to include another parts room associate to assist with the fast-paced work environment. An ideal candidate would have previous experience in an inventory environment, retail sales in the automotive industry, supply positions in the military, and other related fields. Experience is not required, and we will train the right candidate in all aspects of the job. Basic DC electrical, automotive, and mechanical knowledge is a plus due to the nature of the products offered. We inventory over a million dollars of tracked inventory, so you must bring your “A Game” to be successful.

JOB SUMMARY

This job requires someone self-motivated and not easily distracted. The ideal candidate will successfully handle daily shipping duties, learn all daily processing activities in the parts department, help maintain inventory levels, and quickly become familiar with customers, parts, and processes. Duties will include help answering phones during peak hours, taking and fulfilling orders, and assisting walk-in customers.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer sales inquiry calls
    1. Maintain friendly, positive attitude under pressure and time constraints
    2. Convert customer descriptions into part numbers
    3. Acquire all necessary information to ship orders accurately
  • Monitor and notify purchasing manager of inventory levels and reorder points
  • Learn all primary functions of Sage100 accounting software.
  • Package products for the shelf with proper documentation.
  • Maintain organization in the parts room.
  • Report to the General Manager with progress and milestones.

With over 160 dealers in North America, we are looking to expand our Mooresville, NC location to include more wiring technicians to assist with the growing number of clients we are building harnesses for.


This job position involves working under close supervision and independently, assembling cables, wire harnesses and other electro-mechanical assemblies from component level parts. The successful candidate must have attention for detail and a passion for precision work.

JOB SUMMARY

This job requires someone self-motivated and not easily distracted. The right candidates would have good near-vision eyesight, not color blind, able to stand for long periods of time, able to focus and understand big picture objectives of a project, excellent memory to distinguish details of multitudes of projects over time, using a job clock to track time investment into construction and assembly of a project.


Familiar with aircraft-grade wire, manual wire strippers, flush cutters, mil-spec crimpers, open barrel crimpers, & proper twisting techniques preferred but not required.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Duties may include soldering, hand and machine crimping, stripping, routing, wire prepping, inspecting and potting.

·         Ability to read and follow complex Electronics assembly instruction sheets and drawings.

·         Judgment to ask supervisor or lead for instruction clarification.

·         Understanding of the ISO 9001 requirements.

·         Rework assemblies as required.

·         Maintains a clean and safe working environment in line with company policy.

·         Maintains reliable and regular work attendance.

·         Understanding and adherence to the Safety Codes of manufacturing.

·         To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

·         Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

·         May be required to lift 25 pounds.

·         Lighting and temperature are adequate, but employees must wear eye protection during soldering, crimping, braiding, using epoxy, and using compressed air. 

·         High school education; or up to one year experience or training in electrical assembly; or equivalent combination of education and experience. IPC Certification desired.
